Terms
Last updated 20 August 2026
These are the terms for using Past Forward at pastforward.io. Using the site means you accept them.
Past Forward is information, not advice. It reads what happened after a dated event somewhere else and works out what a coming one might open. That is a reasoned guess about the future and nothing more. It is not investment advice, legal advice, tax advice or professional advice of any kind. If you start a business, spend money or make a decision because of something you read here, that is your decision and your risk. Take real advice from someone qualified and accountable before you commit.
What we try to do
- Every number on an event page comes from a row in our database, not from prose someone typed. If three opportunities survived our filtering, the page says three.
- When we cannot establish something, we say so rather than leaving it out. A source we could not reach today is reported as unchecked, not as an absence.
- A pattern we have seen once is labelled as seen once.
- When we get something wrong we correct it on the page and leave the correction visible, rather than editing the mistake away.
What we do not promise
- That anything we describe will happen, or that an opportunity is real, available, legal in your country, or worth your time.
- That the site is accurate, complete or current. Public sources move and sometimes they are wrong before we ever read them.
- That the site will be available. There is no uptime commitment. We may change or remove anything at any time.
Your account
- An account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in.
- Give us an address you actually control, because that is how we identify you and how we reach you.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and we will.
- We can suspend an account that is being used to attack the site or to take content in bulk.
Paying
Nothing is for sale yet. There is no paid plan you can buy, no card is ever asked for, and no account can be upgraded, including by us. When that changes these terms will change first and will say what you are buying, what it costs and how to cancel.
What you may not do
- Copy the site in bulk, scrape it, or feed it into something you sell.
- Republish our analyses as your own work. Quoting us with a link is fine and welcome.
- Try to reach parts of the site you have not been given access to, or to make the site do expensive work repeatedly in order to run up our costs.
Who owns what
The analyses, the writing, the design and the name are ours. The public events and documents underneath them belong to whoever published them, and we link to those so you can check us.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that follow from using the site, including money you do not make, opportunities you miss and decisions that do not work out. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be removed by agreement, and in several countries consumers have exactly such rights.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change matters and you have given us your address, we will tell you.
Governing law
Not settled yet. These terms do not currently name a country whose law applies or where a dispute would be heard. That is a deliberate gap rather than an oversight, and it will be filled in. Saying so seems better than naming a country we have not thought about properly.
